Most people would love to have attractive teeth and smile, but crooked, shipped and discolored teeth don’t help anyone look their best. Bobby certainly had those problems with his teeth that really bothered him. It was finally the time to “finally get his teeth fixed”.

Braces wouldn’t correct his problems, and capping wasn’t the answer for him either. What was the solution for Bobby? After carefully considering the final result that Bobby wanted, which he told us was “natural looking, whiter, straighter teeth”, we recommended porcelain veneers for his cosmetic dentistry. Her crooked teeth had always bothered Amber. As she was approaching mir mid 40s she was increasingly becoming more sensitive about things with her appearance that made her look older. She realized that one’s teeth and smile are a very telling tale about how others perceive your age and the beauty of your face. Older teeth are darker, oftentimes worn down with sharp corners, and also many “baby boomers” have a lot of older fillings on their front or side teeth that show. If those fillings are black, silver or discolored old white fillings, that gives off an aged appearance as well.

Amber came to Dr. Huefner because was ready for a “smile overhaul”. She was confused as to what role orthodontics might play, and also how porcelain veneers, porcelain crowns and bonding might be incorporated. Fortunately for Amber, all her concerns and beautiful smile could be created without orthodontics (braces), utilizing one new all-porcelain crown to replace an old porcelain on metal crown and the rest of her visible teeth covered with porcelain veneers. She was excited to hear that it was going to be easier and more simple than she had imagined. Her next question was what type of veneers? She had heard of lumineers, DaVinci veneers and MAC veneers. Which type would Dr. Huefner recommend? To best demonstrate Dr. Huefner showed Amber many before and after photos of other patients that he had treated over the many years that he has been doing cosmetic dentistry. Amber like the look that Dr. Huefner had created for a number of the beauty pageant winners he had done over the years, and ultimately decided on that style.
